Topic: Practical Guide to In-House Cytology – Wet Lab with Dr. Michael Scott, clinical pathologist at MSU CVM

Lumps, bumps, nasal discharge, skin goo? Dr. Scott is our MSU, CVM expert on all of the above and more! In house cytology has the potential to give us the definitive diagnosis in many of our everyday cases.
This is our opportunity to evaluate our slide staining preparation techniques, and our microscopic interpretation skill with an expert at our side. Dr. Scott will be accompanied by one of his resident DVMs to assist us in honing our cytology skills.
Just like last year’s hematology lab, we will each have our own microscope and Dr. Scott will be able to project slides for all to see.
The classroom is limited to 34 microscopes, so sign up early to guarantee your spot. And please bring your own slides / cases too! This is your opportunity to get a second opinion on anything from your practice!
Please RSVP to Margaret Sudekum <msudekum@wmasap.org> by Friday, Oct. 21

If there is sufficient demand, we will open up a 2nd night (probably Thursday, Nov. 3).

This Wet Lab will be FREE TO WMASAP MEMBERS! Non-members may attend by paying their $35 dues for 2011.

See you there!

Your Academy Officers,
Margaret Sudekum, Dave Durham, Rebecca Vincent, Chris Dykhouse
