Topic: Pain Management for the Osteoarthritis Patient :: Steve Budsberg DVM, MS, DACVS

Welcome to the Fall line-up for the Academy! We are starting with a Pfizer sponsored event complete with full dinner and the camaraderie of your peers (as usual)

Dr. Steve Budsberg, surgical resident at MSU 1984-1987 and current faculty at the University of Georgia will assist us with the difficult task of negotiating the pain control dilemmas of our osteoarthritis patients. What is the logical approach for these patients and how can we increase their pain control, improve their mobility and anticipate the potential side effects of some of our treatments? We will discuss the common uses and misuses of NSAIDs, Tramadol, chondroprotective agents, and adjunct therapies.

Be sure to bring your enthusiasm and your questions to this informative discussion.
